A Time to Heal
The table below gives a general idea of the percentages of Essential Oils to use when diluting in a carrier oil or cream for adults.
For the elderly, these measurements must be halved. Please note that only certain Essential Oils can be used for babies, toddlers and children and the number of drops to be used is minimal.
Never attempt to blend for others without supervision from a qualified Aromatherapist.
Blending Guide
Bath
8 drops Maximum in 15ml Carrier Oil
Room Sprays
5ml in 300ml Floral Water
Massage Oils
Essential Oil Percentage: 2 to 2.5%
50ml Container: 20 to 30 drops in 50ml Carrier Oil or Cream
100ml Container: 40 to 60 drops in 100ml Carrier Oil or Cream
Face Oils/ Creams, Body Creams & Lotions, Shampoo & Conditioner
Essential Oil Percentage: 1 to 1.5%
50ml Container:10 to 15 drops in 50ml Carrier Oil or Cream
100ml Container: 40 to 60 drops in 100ml Carrier Oil or Cream
Ointments
Essential Oil Percentage: 3%
50ml Container: 27 to 30 drops in 50ml Ointment
100ml Container: 54 to 60% in 100ml Ointment
